ABOUT LOOP CLUE
A daily game
about video games.
One answer. Six hints, each clearer than the last.
How it works
Every day, the game selects one answer from a curated set of 40 widely known video games. The first hint is broad. Each incorrect guess reveals a more specific one. There are six hints and six guesses. Everyone gets the same puzzle, which resets at midnight UTC.
The puzzle number is based on whole days since 1 January 2026. Puzzles are generated in the browser from the published answer pool. Progress is saved in this browser; no account is needed.
Clues and sources
Every hint is written for Loop Clue in our own words from general knowledge of how each game plays. We do not use game artwork, screenshots, logos, music, dialogue, review excerpts or scraped game assets.
Video game titles identify the answers. Loop Clue is independent and is not endorsed by, affiliated with, or sponsored by game developers or publishers.
Corrections
If a hint is misleading or a title is accepted incorrectly, the source can be updated. The pool is reviewed by hand, but factual mistakes can still happen.
